Shining a Light on our Trailblazing Inventors and Innovators this International Women in Engineering Day

From making up only 1% of the engineering workforce in 19601, to nearly 6.6 million women scientists and engineers in 2020 across the EU alone2– it is undeniable that as a society, we have made steady progress to encourage women in science.

But our efforts must remain ongoing. As we celebrate International Women in Engineering Day today, we shine a light on the inventors and innovators across Nissan’s Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania (AMIEO) region, who are instrumental to bringing our vision to life – while recognising that their achievements create ripples, motivating even more young women and girls to take up careers in STEM. Today, we say thank you to the talent helping us #ImagineTheFuture.
