Build your own season’s decoration based on your favorite Nissan model!
It often starts with a line, more specifically with a brushstroke. This is how a lot of car designers kick off their sketch.
"First, you roughly define the proportion of your vehicle, pending on whether you are working on a crossover, a sports car or a small car. You only need a few lines for that. Some of them are very distinctive for many of our vehicles, such as the v-motion grille on Micra and Juke or the floating roof on Ariya. I believe the fewest strokes to form the vehicle shape is the ideal number. It will determine whether your car is recognizable. Sometimes it makes it iconic!" explains Matthew Weaver, Vice President Design, Nissan Europe.
This holiday season, in collaboration with paper toy maker Tougui, Nissan brought these lines to life with a wintery twist. From these initial lines are born 5 snowflakes anyone can easily reproduce at home. Each one is based on some of the most iconic lines found within the Nissan lineup: Juke's propeller shaped lights, LEAF and Qashqai's boomerang lamps – and as highlighted by Matthew above, Ariya's floating roof and Micra's v-motion grille.
"It's crazy to see how many declinations are possible, they are all so different, yet they all start with a few simple lines. The personality of each vehicle stands out." says Tougui.
No elaborate material is needed. Arm yourself with some paper, a pen (if you prefer to draw the lines yourself instead of printing the template) and a pair of scissors, and let your creativity flow. These pretty little (or big) snowflakes can be made in any size and colour and you can customize them. They will surely be great decoration to bring the winter spirit to your house!
